Parking and Transit Master Plan
Carl Walker, Inc. was recently selected by Clemson University to develop a Comprehensive Parking & Transportation Master Plan (PTMP). The effort will focus primarily on parking and transit issues on campus, but will also consider transportation issues affecting the greater Clemson area.
The plan will serve as a complementing component of the 2002 Campus Master Plan and will consist of three major phases:
- A supply/demand analysis and transportation system audit;
- A parking & transportation master plan that includes transportation demand management (TDM) strategies and;
- Identify current and future parking generators in the study area, and identify parking losses due to planned developments.
Carl Walker is supported in this engagement by two specialists firms, UrbanTrans and Connetics Transportation Group that will address issues related to the transit system, alternate transportation modes and opportunities for parking demand reduction through transportation demand management initiatives.
