Carl Walker designed a full slab replacement of the supported parking under the North Building at Grand Rapids Community College. Approximately 25,000 square feet of 10" thick floor slab was removed and replaced while the building was kept in operation. Perimeter walls and columns were structurally braced during floor replacement.
