The nine-story Iowa-Illinois Gas and Electric Company office building located above six levels of City-owned parking exemplifies a successful public/private partnership. The building is an easily-discernible landmark within the redeveloping downtown district.
The parking structure is integrated with a nine-story private office building above the City parking structure. It contains 768 parking spaces that serve the office building above, as well as adjacent retail, hotel and office uses. For pedestrians, a center core of five elevators serves the office building, and elevated skywalks provide direct access to the River Center expansion and other nearby commercial and office uses.
