Sioux City, Iowa
Located in downtown Sioux City, this facility provides 484 spaces of
needed parking and a multi-modal ground transportation center. Local
buses, taxis and Greyhound buses all utilize the ground-level terminal,
which was designed with attractive passenger ticketing and waiting
areas and retail space. Glass-backed stair elevator towers and
architectural facades that blend with the character of downtown make it
an attractive destination for multi-modal travelers and parkers.
Climate-controlled skywalk connections to the Sioux City skywalk system
and the newly remodeled Orpheum Theater are also an integral part of
the design. This project received an Honorable Mention Award in the IPI Awards for Excellence competition.
