15th and Pearl Mixed-Use Project

Boulder, Colorado

Second only to the University of Colorado campus, the historic Pearl Street Mall is Boulder 's most popular destination. To expand the mall's capacity, this 685-space parking facility was designed to provide retail, office and parking space for a multiplicity of patrons. The Architect's creative blending of concrete, masonry, glass and steel achieve an articulated structure with distinctive setbacks that has resulted in many architectural awards, including the International Parking Institute Award of Excellence, Congress for the New Urbanism Charter Award, Rocky Mountain Masonry Institute Excellence Award and AIA Denver Chapter Citation Award.

The mixed-use parking facility provides storefront retail space and second-level offices on two sides and a police substation on a third side. Cable-supported steel canopies identify vehicle and pedestrian entries. Brick façade in varying colors matches the historic district buildings.
