The Naperville Municipal Center is a cast-in-place concrete, conventionally reinforced, two-way supported slab. The adjacent municipal building was constructed integrally with the 440-space parking structure.
There is a common structure for the plaza and parking areas, and both exhibited the same type of deterioration, which was related to restraint and not typical corrosion related deterioration.
Restoration Description
- New waterproofing, bi-level drains, concrete topping slab, and precast pavers were installed.
- The entrance vestibule, revolving doors, and terrazzo floor were replaced.
