Restoration of Parking Garage

Carl Walker performed an updated condition assessment of the parking garage with associated estimates of probable construction costs. The scope included verifying the recommendations of the previous assessment as well as identifying and documenting new developments in the structure’s condition.

The review provided a planning and decision-making guide for the Airport Authority to determine scope of repairs and improvements to be undertaken based on priority and budget availability. Based on the approved scope, Carl Walker developed construction documents for the implementation of the repairs. Unique project features were the size of the deck, heavy on painting (both structural steel framing and concrete soffits), and over 1½ miles of expansion joints replaced.
